And more specifically, his eyes.

So I decided to mess with the midtones on some Amon screenshots in Photoshop out of curiosity, to see if I could bring out his eyes a bit. I thought I might be able to see if he was scarred.

And… it doesn’t quite look like it! Obviously, a great deal of his face is covered and these shots are low quality. But the skin around his eyes is smooth and unmarred.

For the most part.

Note that in this shot, from the side, Amon’s eye almost seems to have a ring around it. It’s probably just the edge of the mask, but both sides of the line are the same color, which I thought was interesting.

And here:

This one didn’t turn out so well when I changed the midtones, but you can still see that Amon has lines under his eyes that are not connected to the edge of the mask, which is clearly distinct. Since they’re too wide to be the edges of his nose, my thought is that they’re bags or wrinkles, which leads me to believe that Amon is at least in his mid thirties. And once again, the skin around his eyes is smooth, one solid color, and unmarred by anything but the aforementioned wrinkles.

But probably the biggest - and most frightening - thing I found out is that even when Amon’s eye sockets look like they’re completely filled in with black, his eyes are always there. Watching. Drawn so you can just barely see them staring at you emotionlessly.

Eeek.
