Lol, if you support Mitt Romney I’m confused about how you’ve been following me for this long.
Some people are actually tolerant of different views. Shocking, I know.
are you for real though
like I’m not trying to be mean but how can you sit…
Okay. Um. I’m not entirely sure how to respond to that.
You know that America tried socialism, right? Back in the colonial days? Welp, we didn’t stick with it, as you can see. Because it doesn’t work. Most of Europe, in fact, is laughing at us because they’re trying so hard to get away from socialist policies. They cause healthcare, income, and therefore a nation’s economy to plummet in quality and value. It’s a great idea, but in reality, it just doesn’t work.
Also, I’m bisexual. Why am I voting for Mitt Romney? Because while I don’t agree with him that same-sex marriage is immoral, guess what? Conservatives aim to reduce the federal government’s control over states’ rights. So even if he doesn’t like gay marriage, the right believes that the feds have no business telling individual states what to do. Yes, it’s going to take time to get people to understand that loving someone of the same gender can be just as sacred and valuable as heterosexual love. But y’know what? Women did it and blacks did it. It took time. It took blood, sweat, and tears. But they succeeded in proving to the rest of America that they’re people too. Obama promised in his 2008 campaign that he’d work to legalize gay marriage. And it took him until recently to even say publicly that he thinks it’s okay, let alone passing legislation in our favor. So calling all conservatives homophobes is an incorrect assumption. Obama has done none of the things he promised to progress the LGBT movement.
I’m a girl. I’m 20 years old. I understand that people are hormonal and that we meet other people we’re attracted to. I think you should have the right to love others without shame. But what I do not agree with is forcing me to pay for other women’s birth control. There are plenty of people who aren’t struggling to pay their bills like I am who would gladly set up foundations to provide women with condoms and pills, but that is not something the government should be allowed to force me to do. If I’m willing to wait to get my paycheck to buy myself condoms, other women should be able to exercise the same amount of discipline. I am not responsible for other people’s life choices. Wanting to worry about my own birth control does not in any way make me misogynistic.
It would mean a lot if you’d learn to respect other people’s views as opposed to labeling me disgusting things like a “racist” and a “homophobe” just because you don’t have the same opinions as me. People who are intolerant in that manner only serve to make themselves look like hypocrites.
Women did it and blacks did it. It took time. It took blood, sweat, and tears. But they succeeded in proving to the rest of America that they’re people too.
Except they totally didn’t, Black people are still murdered just for being Black and women are still regarded as objects by men. And I never called you names, I just said that supporting Romney means you support racist and heterosexist policies, which is completely true. This isn’t about socialism, this is about people getting shot to death on the sidewalk by the cops because the color of their skin makes them “suspicious”.
Like, are you missing the point? I’m saying that I don’t have the luxury to vote according to economic principles, because Republican policies are more likely to kill my friends than the Democratic ones. Do I have to do that thing where I spell something out for you in every different HTML code tumblr offers?
Republican policies are more likely to kill my friends than the Democratic ones.

You’re really going to tell me that you’re supporting Romney because you don’t feel like paying for other people’s birth control (by which you mean having employers cover birth control in their health plans, because surprise, sometimes people need it to prevent serious health issues) even though his policies are more likely to kill innocent people?
I’m done with this.
